Jana Kramer is a country performer, singer and songwriter that made her name known on television when she was cast as Alex on One Tree Hill for the final three seasons. The show showcased her first release as a country artist, propelling her 2012 debut album in the Billboard 200 to the Top 20. Thirty One (2015), the album that followed it in 2015, was also among the Top Ten. When she finished the decade the year, she appeared on Dancing with the Stars. In 2021, she released the self-doubting Voices. Jana Rae Kramer was born and was raised within Rochester Hills Michigan. She grew up listening to music from the country genre and eventually went on to make a go of it as a recording artist. But, she began her acting career as a teenager in 2002's indie horror movie Dead/Undead. After appearing as a guest for All My Children or CSI: NY, Kramer landed the role of Noelle Davenport in NBC Friday Night Lights in the second season of 2007-2008. Kramer appeared as Portia Ranson in 90210 2008-2009 and Brooke Manning on Entourage 2009 before joining the cast of the CW's One Tree Hill as Alex Dupre in 2009 where she was on the show until the final season of the show in 2012. The album peaked at number 3 in the Billboard 200 country charts and top 10 on the Billboard 200. Her two-month appearance on the Dancing with the Stars 23rd edition ended with her finishing 4th.
